In the UAE, nurses providing professional home healthcare services should hold a valid clinical license issued by the relevant health authority, such as the Department of Health (DOH) in Abu Dhabi or the Dubai Health Authority (DHA) in Dubai. Patients and families have the right to request confirmation of a healthcare professional’s license and qualifications. You may ask the provider to share: the nurse’s professional license details, clinical designation and qualifications, the healthcare facility under which the nurse is licensed. This information may also be verified through the DOH Shafafiya portal or the DHA Medical Registry.
